Shotgun start at 11:30 am

This year’s Broadway Winter Classic Golf Tournament will benefit two charities: The Long Beach Rescue Mission, and a new non-profit foundation, Tee Off Together, which exists to teach inner city students the game of golf.

We all know the good work of the Long Beach Rescue Mission which provides meals, shelters for men, women and children, programs to give hope and change lives, learning centers for career training and a chapel for community worship. We hope to raise money so they can continue their good work.

Tee Off Together is a 501(c)(3) corporation that was founded in 2017 to give children the opportunity to play a game which would otherwise be unavailable to them. Getting involved in league and tournament golf gives children a purpose for excelling in a sport which could lead to college scholarships and a future successful life. By exposing these children to the game of golf with its intrinsic traits of discipline, etiquette, rules, and structure, that these qualities would certainly transfer to their everyday lives – at home and at school. Money raised from the Broadway Winter Classic would go to building two women’s golf teams at Jordan High School in North Long Beach, supplying the clubs, equipment, attire and instruction.
